Deacon Turns One!

Brylee's Room

Brylee is so lucky to have a Marmie that can sew. She made beautiful pink curtains to go with her pink, green and cream colored room.

Brylee In Her Crib

As mentioned, Brylee likes to grunt so she is already in her crib. She does great and sleeps well while listening to the ocean breeze!

Sisterly Love

Makenzie cannot get enough of Brylee. She wants to play with her, change her diaper, give her a bottle...Sometimes she barely let the baby breathe!

Loving The Playmat Already

Brylee is already enjoying looking around at the toys. She likes it when you rub her belly and give her a baby massage. She does not mind being on her tummy and her neck is getting much stronger. She is a very quite baby. Doesn't cry really at all, but she grunts to communicate!

Brylee First Doc Appt

Brylee went back to the doctor on March 31st just a few days after we brought her home. She left the hospital weighing 5lbs 9oz and by Tuesday she was up to 6lbs 3oz! She continues to sleep well and feeds every 3-4 hours. The doc gave her a clean bill of health so we could not be happier. Look-she even held her bottle that night!

Brylee's First Bath At Home

Dimples

Brylee Comes Home

On May 26th, two weeks to the day from when she was born, Brylee was able to come home. Since Makenzie was not able to come into the NICU they were finally able to meet! Makenzie loves Brylee and can't stop giving her hugs and kisses.

Brylee is such a joy to have at home. She is on a nice schedule of eating every 4 hours. We are so happy to have our family together!

Brylee's Story

Room Number 2W58 became Brylee's home for the next couple of weeks. The first few days were rough as Brylee experienced a multitude of complications, but things only moved forward in a positive direction from there. I cannot say enough good things about the nurses and doctors at Northside Forsyth and the care that Brylee and I recieved. Each day goals were set and Brylee made strides. She was able to get rid of one wire/tube at time until she had virtually none for her car seat test before we went home.

Brylee is such a strong little girl and has the sweetest personality. She hardly ever makes a sound and if you are lucky she will flash you her dimples!

Darryl and I are so very thankful for the support of our family and friends. We appreciate all the prayers and could certainly feel the love!

Darryl's Graduation

Two days after Brylee's arrival Darryl was scheduled to graduate in Athens. He completed his Executive MBA from the Terry College of Business with honors. We are so proud of him. Way to go Daddy!

Baby Brylee Arrives-EARLY!

On May 10th I was sitting in training at work when, much to my surprise, my water unexpectedly broke! Brylee was not supposed to arrive until June18th, but I guess she had other plans in mind. Once admitted to the hospital things slowed down quite a bit. I was allowed to try to deliver the on my own the next day and night, but no luck.

Brylee Elizabeth Cox was born by c section on Thursday, May 12 at 7:05am. She was 5lbs and 4oz 18 inches long.

I was allowed to have a brief moment with her and Darryl before being taken to the NICU.

SO PROUD OF MOM! What a joy that we were all able to be together to help her celebrate such a great accomplishment!

Payton's Third Birthday at Cath Air

Makenzie went non stop at Payton's third birthday party. She had a great time and especially enjoyed the bubbles. She has been obsessed with them lately!
