Glasgow Baby Shower

My last shower was located right in my own hometown of Glasgow, KY on Brookdale Drive. The shower was hosted by Tina Marion, Diane Quinn, Bonnie Bennett, and Mavis Smith. A special gift at this event was an album I received with a piece of motherly advise from each guest. Many lovely ladies in the community attended that I have not seen in a very long time. Most of them from the church I was a member of before I left Glasgow for college. There's nothing like a good dose of southern love to fill your heart at a time like this! Thank you to all the women who hosted and especially for everyone's priceless advise!!

My first baby shower was given on July 19, 2008 and was hosted by Aunt Angie and Aunt Lynn. It was located in Louisville, KY at the Parkwood Villa Clubhouse. Mostly family was in attendance with some great friends as well. We had lots of food and fun. It was very special to be able to see everyone!

Baby Cox 28 Weeks

Darryl and I decided that it would be cool if we could get some 3D pics. Although, our little baby girl likes to be curled up most of the time with her legs above her head and she was very comfy in that position. So, we got the best shots that we could at the time. By the way, we have decided to call her Makenzie Cathren Cox. Makenzie we picked just cause we liked it and dont know anyone by that name. Cathren actually came from my father's side of the family, the Branstetter's. My father's great great great grandfather had a sister named Elizabeth Cathren. She was born, raised, and died in Barren county and she had a father named John and a brother named Auston.

What Am I?

On June 19, 2008 Darryl and I were scheduled for our 20 week ultrasound. This was special because we were going to find out the gender of our baby! Upon arrival we were dismayed when we were told that the office did not have us down for an ultrasound and there was no technician on site. Luckily, Dr. Lambert aimes to please and we were able to rush down to the Alpharetta location to squeeze in with the tech down there. It seemed like ages before we were finally told that we were having a baby girl!!

1st Doc Appt

Just a few short weeks after our discovery it was time to go visit Dr. Lambert for the first time on March 24th, 2008. Mom is already experiencing first trimester sickness, but both received a good bill of health. Darryl and I were excited to be able to get pics of the our little one. Check me out! My expected arrival date is October 29, 2008.

It All Began...

On February 21, 2008 when I discovered Darryl and I would be expecting our first child! Darryl was in the computer room, as usual, when I told him the good news. I think his first response was "are you serious?" Needless to say we were both very excited and ready for our new adventure together!
