Reading

Makenzie really enjoys reading and these days she will read to you! Cant understand half of what she is saying, but she knows and gets very excited to tell you all about it!

First Day of School 2010

Makenzie had her first day of school for the new year last week. She is in toddler I and this is the group of kids she will be with through kindergarden. She loves her school and her classmates (some are new). Say CHEESE for the camera!

Play Time

Makenzie is more imaginative these days. She loves to cook in her kitchen and have picnics. Apparently all of her stuffed animals were bad at the same time and needed a time out-they were "not nice".

My New Play Room

As Makenzie's toys kept getting bigger and bigger our family room was getting smaller and smaller. So, we decided to make the living room her play area. I can't believe I can see the floor in my family room again! She loves her new space-we all needed it!

Weekend of Pampering

Makenzie started off the weekend with a trip to the salon for her first trim. She did great and got a treat for being such a good girl. Then, it was off to pick her new toe nail polish for the week. Her favorite thing now is "pretty toes". A trip to Uncle John's was very exciting for her since she was also able to play with Jack.

She Still Loves To Dance

Happy Fourth of July 2010

We had a great holiday weekend. Makenzie started her celebration at school by decorating her car to ride in a fourth of July parade. We had great friends over for barbeque and fireworks. Makenzie was a little scared of the all the loud noise, but did not cry. Of course, we went to the pool several times as well. She is becomming a water baby. Loves water day at school and we take her to the neighborhood pool every chance we get.

Another One On The Way...

Nope, it is not me but my cousin Nick. Well, Robin actually. We attended a lovely baby shower in Jasper to celebrate Jenna Beth Gwynn who will be here any minute now!

Vaca in Kentucky

Makenzie headed north this summer to spend a whole week at G-Mommy and Poppy's house. She had a really good time in the pool as she would stand on the steps and say ready, set, go and jump-no fear! She also got a good taste of local produce from the Amish. She especially liked green beans and corn. We were very proud of her when she returned as she learned her right foot from her left. Darryl and I missed our little one very much, but we got a vacation as well!

Destin 2010

Makenzie enjoyed herself at the beach this year. She built sand castles and really liked to be near the edge of the ocean and let the waves crash on her legs. She was particularly fond of the big red bucket for relaxation and cooling off. While we were on the trip she started to say three word sentances. It was pretty funny that she would tell Darryl everyday as we are going down to the beach "Come on Dada" Water! Water! You could imagine all the stuff Darryl had in his hands trying to get down to the beach, but he was not moving fast enough for her! We also had a big dose of ELMO! It is all we want to watch these days and pretty much all she talks about (besides her favorite monkey of course).

Aunt Mo's Baby Shower

Makenzie's Aunt Maureen is expecting her second baby any day now and we are so excited. We know he is a baby boy and that his name begins with the letter D. Can't wait to meet him and find out his name! Up until now he has been known as Baby "D"
