She Still Loves To Dance

Happy Fourth of July 2010

We had a great holiday weekend. Makenzie started her celebration at school by decorating her car to ride in a fourth of July parade. We had great friends over for barbeque and fireworks. Makenzie was a little scared of the all the loud noise, but did not cry. Of course, we went to the pool several times as well. She is becomming a water baby. Loves water day at school and we take her to the neighborhood pool every chance we get.

Another One On The Way...

Nope, it is not me but my cousin Nick. Well, Robin actually. We attended a lovely baby shower in Jasper to celebrate Jenna Beth Gwynn who will be here any minute now!

Vaca in Kentucky

Makenzie headed north this summer to spend a whole week at G-Mommy and Poppy's house. She had a really good time in the pool as she would stand on the steps and say ready, set, go and jump-no fear! She also got a good taste of local produce from the Amish. She especially liked green beans and corn. We were very proud of her when she returned as she learned her right foot from her left. Darryl and I missed our little one very much, but we got a vacation as well!

Destin 2010

Makenzie enjoyed herself at the beach this year. She built sand castles and really liked to be near the edge of the ocean and let the waves crash on her legs. She was particularly fond of the big red bucket for relaxation and cooling off. While we were on the trip she started to say three word sentances. It was pretty funny that she would tell Darryl everyday as we are going down to the beach "Come on Dada" Water! Water! You could imagine all the stuff Darryl had in his hands trying to get down to the beach, but he was not moving fast enough for her! We also had a big dose of ELMO! It is all we want to watch these days and pretty much all she talks about (besides her favorite monkey of course).

Aunt Mo's Baby Shower

Makenzie's Aunt Maureen is expecting her second baby any day now and we are so excited. We know he is a baby boy and that his name begins with the letter D. Can't wait to meet him and find out his name! Up until now he has been known as Baby "D"

New Pajamas!

Chattahoochee River Club

Across the street is a neighborhood that has fish, trails, ponds, horse stables...We recently went to check it out and Makenzie got very excited to see all the fish-there were tons. After we went through the first part of the trail you reach a pond and look at what came crawling out of it! We got pretty close and Makenzie said EEWW and I could not agree with her more!

Earth Day

Makenzie planeted this for Earth Day at school and it actually grew. She thinks that it is pretty cool!

Cooking with Mommy

Makenzie likes to help Mommy cook and really liked to eat this batter-no raw eggs in this one people :)

Makenzie with Live Bunnies

Easter Day

The Easter Bunny was good this year. In the afternoon we went to a neighborhood Easter egg hunt and the wildlife preserve was there as well as the Easter Bunny! When Makenzie saw the Tiger she started growling at it!

Easter At School

Makenzie had a Easter Egg Hunt at school and she brought home an amazing six eggs!
