Sorry it has been so long since my last post. Things have been a little busy. After turning the big 3-0 at the beginning of the month I started my new job. My first week was in St. Louis and for those who want to know-Darryl did survive without me! Makenzie has started to babble some. She got her second tooth and is getting on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth. She is also beginning to start to pull up on things. So, we may have a mobile baby on our hands pretty soon. We have been enjoying the pool, but Makenzie will be introduced to the beach next Friday when we head down to Destin for vacation.

Makenzie and I have been spending some time at the park. She simply loves to watch all of the other kids play on the playground and run around.
We decided to take our show on the road for Memorial Day and headed to Kentucky. We had a great time grilling out and introducing Makenzie to the pool. She was hesitant at first, but after some comfort from Poppy she was ready to play.
I had a great first Mother's Day as my Mom and Dad were in town. We had a very pleasant brunch that day with Timm's parents and I enjoyed a relaxing afternoon. Makenzie has started to eat a variety of baby food and her first tooth has come through!
Makenzie tried carrots last week and thought they were yummy, but they did not agree with her. I guess we will try some other new food this week. On a good note, she is sitting up very well on her own.
Makenzie is having a blast in her Jumperoo! It is her new favorite toy because she has the freedom to jump and go crazy (I need to take some video and put that up). Plus there are lots of cool toys surrounding her that she can explore. We are getting some nice weather in Atlanta so we have been exploring the outdoors which have included trips to the park.
On March 1st, 2009 Makenzie was Baptized at Creekside United Methodist Church. Pastor Jason had just returned from Israel and he was able to bring back water from the Jordan river. It was a special day for us and we were thrilled that our family was able to attend!
